Media CoverageLiving the Mission
The world really has come to Seattle University. On Nov. 18, SU hosted the Opus Prize, one of the world's largest faith-based humanitarian awards. The 2008 recipients—Maggie Barankitse of Burundi, Africa, who received the $1 million Opus award, Michael Woodard of Nicaragua and Krishnammal Jagannathan of India—are truly inspiring. Each shared their profound stories at a press conference, a sold-out celebration at Benaroya Hall and on campus during Mission Day. |
